Karavitakis Winery - Nomas, 750ml
Karavitakis Winery, White, Dry, Still, Assyrtiko
Nomas is the Greek word for Nomad. The name was inspired by the astonishing route that Assyrtiko variety has followed, from Santorini and Crete initially, to Northern Greece right after and all the way till mainland and Peloponesse. Our Assyrtiko is produced from new and very old vines planted in medium altitude vineyards. The result is a wine with sharp acidity and minerallity wraped with mild lemon and stone fruit aromas.
Bottle: 750ml
Alc.: 13.5%vol
This is a beautiful blend from the Island of Crete of 65% Vidiano and 35% Vilana. Vidiano offers ripe peach and apricot aromas with a slight spice. It has a refreshing lemon acidity which would go well with mediterranean dishes.
Think grilled Octopus with a squeeze of lemon and Greek Salad.
