The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Years Old 700ml

Balvenie Doublewood is a 12 year old single malt from a distillery that has been making its drinks since 1892, using only its own barley in a handcrafted way.

During its maturation period, The Balvenie Double Wood is transferred from the traditional oak casks in which it was originally matured to Spanish oak casks, which have previously been used for sherry maturation. 

Each of these two stages imparts different qualities to The Balvenie Double Wood: the traditional casks, having previously housed bourbon, soften the whisky and give it character, while the sherry casks add depth and richness of flavour.

Aroma: Notes of ripe & sweet fruit, sherry, vanilla and honey.
